Future history
This site is a summary of the book "The next stage: society after capitalism". It's a future history of the society that will replace capitalism. The book's method is a modification of Historical Materialism to create a tool for predicting future histories. The book describes:The book is available from the Download page The future history described isn't of a perfect alternative society - it is the society that follows the pattern of change that human societies have gone thru. This society has been discovered rather than invented. The next stage is not a phase of capitalism but is the society that will replace it. The transition from capitalism to this next society will be disorderly and could lead to anarchy and chaos. Although capitalism will collapse of itself, there is essential work to be done before then. We will have to create decentralized order to minimize suffering in the transition period.
